1st Garden

One of my goals this year was to plant a vegetable garden and I actually achieved my goal!!  Its exciting because I had the same goal last year and it didn't ever happen.  As you can see from the photo below we have an abundance of cucumbers and tomatoes.  I don't even like to eat raw cucumbers so I don't know what I was thinking by planting a cucumber plant.  But, who knew that 1 teeny, tiny, $1 cucumber plant would produce 50,000 cucumbers? 

I guess I've learned my lesson.

Since I don't like raw cucumbers I've been making homemade pickles!!  I really hope they turn out!  I've also been canning the tomatoes and I'm really looking forward to be using them later!
